BeatForge

Make beats, feel the rhythm, and learn how music works. Build a groove on the beat grid, see it as a circle, count it out loud, and coach your ear with tap-back drills — then practice the ideas across 16 kits. Take it at your own pace.

Make a beat

Your studio — place beats on a four-instrument grid, set the tempo, and play the loop. Switch to the circular wheel view to see the rhythm as a circle, and turn on counting to read it out loud. Works with the sound off.

Beat Studio A step-sequencer with a circular rhythm wheel and count-along syllables (1 e & a · ta-ka-di-mi). Nothing is saved anywhere but your own device. Melody Studio Build a tune on a pitched grid. In pentatonic mode there are no wrong notes — everything sounds good — then switch to the full scale. Rhythm Coach Fill the measure to four beats, and echo back rhythms you hear or see. A hint is always there after a first try. Notation Bridge Read a rhythm written in real notes, stems, and flags — then build it on the beat grid, or pick the notation that matches a grid rhythm. The bridge from the grid to the page. Compose to a Brief Build a rhythm that meets a goal — a steady groove, a backbeat, one syncopation, a busy bar — then see it written out in real notation. Apply what you know to make something new. Tempo Trainer A visual metronome with a swing slider you can see — plus a tap-the-beat drill that tells you if you're on time, early, or late. Harmony Harbor Two notes at once make harmony. Name the interval, guess if a pair sounds smooth or clashing, and tell a bright triad from a dark one — predict first, then hear it. Works with the sound off. Dynamics Domain Music gets soft and loud — from a whisper (pp) to a shout (ff). Put the levels in order, and predict whether a phrase grows louder or softer. Predict first, then hear it.
