BridgeForge
Project-based learning simulation with multi-week real-world challenges integrating math, science, social studies, and ELA. First student-facing PBL app following the Gold Standard PBL cycle (PBLWorks/Buck Institute). Students solve authentic real-world problems that require competency across multiple subjects, building visible bridges on a subject connection map.
Meet your mentor
Every Spark & Anvil app has a friendly mentor character that demonstrates, praises, and patiently scaffolds learning. On-device AI personalizes the mentor's responses to your kid's progress — never connecting to a server, never collecting data.
#29B6F6 BridgeForge shows you how math connects to everything! Build bridges between math and other subjects like science, art, music, and social studies by solving problems that use both at the same time. Each bridge you complete proves that math is not just numbers on a page -- it is everywhere.
Distributed-narrative cast
Meet the cast
BridgeForge's 5-character cast embodies the foundational cross-curricular-bridging connective primitives — math↔science (Truss, causal-evidential), math↔art (Arch, proportion-aesthetic), math↔social-studies (Pier, data-narrative), math↔ELA (Splice, structure-metaphor), and math↔music (Cable, ratio-temporal). Archie (mentor; renamed from site placeholder 'Span' to resolve soft collision with FossilForge Wave 17 cast Span + match code-side style guide) frames each primitive; cast embodies them at school-engineering-team / community-design-studio scale. Bridge-rigor gate enforced: cast models defensible specific connections over surface-level rhyming; foregrounds 'at what level of abstraction does this bridge hold?' rigor; explicit math-side AND domain-side evidence required.
Truss
Math↔Science bridges — causal-evidential connection (measurement + replication; both sides need numbers)
Arch
Math↔Art bridges — proportion-aesthetic connection (golden ratio + symmetry; math you can SEE)
Cable
Math↔Music bridges — ratio-temporal connection (frequency ratios + rhythm; math you can HEAR)
Pier
Math↔Social-Studies bridges — data-narrative connection (statistics in history + civics; numbers + people)
Splice
Math↔ELA bridges — structure-metaphor connection (sequence + symmetry in writing; math is the bones)
What's inside
Bridge Building
Each bridge has several segments. To complete a segment, you solve a problem that combines math with another subject. For example, you might use fractions to mi
Subject Map
Explore the map to find new bridge-building sites. Each location connects math to a different subject. The more bridges you build, the more of the map you unloc
Design Challenges
Take on special challenges that require you to use math skills in creative ways. These are tougher but earn bigger rewards!

How BridgeForge handles your kid's data
- ✅ All progress, settings, and AI-generated content stays on the device
- ✅ No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs
- ✅ No ads, no in-app purchases — you pay once
- ✅ COPPA compliant under the 2026 FTC amendments
- ✅ Parental controls + session limits + content filters built in
BridgeForge runs on ForgeKit — the open-source Swift Package Manager framework that powers every Spark & Anvil app. ForgeKit ensures consistent accessibility, COPPA compliance, and design language across the portfolio, so your kid's progress and preferences feel coherent across every app they touch.
