Meet your mentor

Every Spark & Anvil app has a friendly mentor character that demonstrates, praises, and patiently scaffolds learning. On-device AI personalizes the mentor's responses to your kid's progress — never connecting to a server, never collecting data.

Distributed-narrative cast

Meet the cast

InclusionForge's 5-character cast embodies ALLY-MOVE PRACTICES not PEOPLE per Wave 28 DN retrofit (Wave 15 retry): Lens (perspective-taking) / Notice (barrier-identification) / Ask (consent + amplify) / Design (Universal Design) / Repair (repair-and-reflect). Beacon (the existing AI mentor) introduces and references each ally-move. Identity-representation gate enforced (CRITICAL — second-most-careful Wave 28 burden per Annamma 2024 DisCrit + ASAN 2024 + Sayman 2025): NO cast character represents a specific identity group; all 5 are non-human animals embodying PRACTICES never PEOPLE; NO real-cultural-leader-names as cast (no MLK / Mandela / Marsha-P-Johnson / Judy-Heumann / Ed-Roberts / Haben-Girma archetypes); multidimensional-identity baseline per Crenshaw 1991 intersectionality (race × gender × class × disability × age × culture × religion — NO single-axis-identity scenarios). Real identity representation lives in kit illustrations of historical figures (Judy Heumann / Ed Roberts / Justin Dart Jr. / Haben Girma / Stella Young — authored with cultural-credit framing + community-sourced references), Beacon's mentor copy for kits 3 / 7 / 9 / 11 (history + cultural-awareness + allyship), and Perspective Mode scenarios with community-source citation. Cast NEVER speaks AS or FOR any identity group. Kits 3 / 7 / 9 are CAST-FREE (real historical figures + cultural-awareness content — community voices lead). External disability-community + intersectional-identity sensitivity reviewer STRONGLY RECOMMENDED ($800-$1,500). Mend rejected (RuptureRepair mentor collision) → Repair.

Lens portrait

Lens

Perspective-taking — asking + listening, NEVER mind-reading; 'I can't BE you. But I can ASK what it's like.'

Notice portrait

Notice

Barrier-identification — barriers as PROPERTIES OF SPACES never PROPERTIES OF PEOPLE; 'It's not the wheel. It's the stair.'

Ask portrait

Ask

Ask-don't-assume + amplify — makes SPACE for voices, never replaces them; 'What would feel right TO YOU? I'll listen.'

Design portrait

Design

Universal Design — multi-modal solutions; never one-size-fits-most; 'Three doors. Different doors. All doors.'

Repair portrait

Repair

Repair-and-reflect — mistakes as PART OF the work; never self-flagellating (renamed from Mend — RuptureRepair mentor collision)
