Meet your mentor

Every Spark & Anvil app has a friendly mentor character that demonstrates, praises, and patiently scaffolds learning. On-device AI personalizes the mentor's responses to your kid's progress — never connecting to a server, never collecting data.

DanceQuest is a dance arts studio where you explore genres, compose choreography, and express yourself through movement. You will learn moves from ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, and folk dance traditions, then arrange them into your own choreography on a music timeline. Optional camera-based movement feedback helps you practice, but the app is fully usable without a camera. Your AI mentor offers choreography suggestions and celebrates your creative expression.

Distributed-narrative cast

Meet the cast

DanceQuest sits in the creative-studio cluster alongside EnsembleQuest / EffectsForge / StageForge. The 5-character cast maps to NCAS Dance's elements (body / space / time / energy / locomotion) and is intentionally non-lean-dancer-coded for body-image safety.

Call-and-response — one dancer or group makes a movement and another answers it; a movement conversation built on truly listening before you reply

Bide portrait

Bide

Stillness and the hold — the held, alive, motionless moment inside a dance; negative space made of time; a strong chosen pause, not tiredness or absence

The Company portrait

The Company

The whole group dancing as one — how formation, level, call-and-response, unison and canon, and stillness weave together so a group of dancers moves as a single living thing
