Onlie (Sudoku — the Latin-square rule: each number once per row, column, box) × Cage (KenKen — an arithmetic cage on top of a Latin square)
What rule does a KenKen (Cage) share with a Sudoku (Onlie) before its cages even matter?
Onlie then says: “In KenKen you can repeat a number in a row as long as the cage's math works out.” — is that right?
The link: KenKen = Sudoku's uniqueness rule + arithmetic cages — Cage stands on Onlie.
Latin square first, then make the cages add up.
Chevron (Futoshiki — < and > flags force the ORDER between neighbours) × Serra (Skyscrapers — edge clues count how many towers are VISIBLE)
A Skyscrapers clue says 'you see 3 towers from this edge'. How is that secretly a Chevron-style ordering clue?
Chevron then says: “A Skyscrapers visibility clue tells you the exact heights directly, with no ordering reasoning.” — is that right?
The link: both puzzles are Latin squares cracked by ordering — one states the inequalities, one hides them in a view.

Fill a fenced region so its numbers hit the target with the given operation. Who?

Read edge numbers telling how many cells fill each run, then fill the overlap. Who?

The synthesis: enforce uniqueness, satisfy the cages, and deduce from the run clues — three grids, one logical habit: find the forced move.
Unique, caged, counted — every grid hides one forced move.
