You've helped them one at a time. The real understanding is how the ideas CONNECT — teach that next.
Flow (current (electrons moving)) × Damp (resistance (the slowdown))
Flow is the current; Damp is the resistance. For a fixed battery, how does one affect the other?
Flow then says: “I doubled the resistance, so the current should double too.” — is that right?
The link: Ohm's law ties them — current is voltage divided by resistance, so Damp and Flow move in opposite directions.
Turn resistance up, watch current go down — same law, two characters.
Branch (series vs parallel topology) × Flow (current)
Branch sets series-or-parallel; Flow is the current. How does the topology change the current?
Branch then says: “In a parallel circuit the same current goes through every branch, just like series.” — is that right?
The link: the wiring layout is what routes the current — Branch decides, Flow follows.
One path or many — the topology writes the current's route.
Capstone — design a safe little flashlight circuit
Build a flashlight: a bulb that lights when a switch is pressed, without burning out. Each part needs ONE cast member's idea.
What PROVIDES the pressure to drive the current?

What LIMITS the current so the bulb doesn't burn out?

How do you wire the switch so it controls the WHOLE circuit?

The synthesis: voltage drives it, resistance protects it, and a series switch controls it — three ideas, one working flashlight.
